Channing M. Hall, III, P.L.L.C., a professional limited liability company, was established in 2000 by Channing M. Hall, III, to serve Virginia's Historic Triangle.
A member of the bar since 1987, Mr. Hall returned home to his native Williamsburg in 1990 after a two-year position as an Attorney-Advisor to a Judge on the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C. Having co-founded and managed another local law firm in the 1990's, Mr. Hall founded his current firm on the premise that creative and entrepreneurial thinking, coupled with traditional professional values, creates significant synergies for clients. In an era where the law has become less of a learned profession and more of a "bottom line" big business, he believes that legal services are best provided to clients by proficient attorneys who serve them in a small and personalized setting.
Mr. Hall continues the longstanding tradition of his late father and grandfather, Channing M. Hall, Jr., and Channing M. Hall, Sr., who have maintained law offices in historic Williamsburg since 1910. Each also served as a member of the Williamsburg City Council for many years, and Mr. Hall, Sr., was Mayor from 1934 to 1948.
Today Mr. Hall, who served on Williamsburg City Council from 1994 to 2002, and as Vice-Mayor from 1998 to 2002, applies his forefathers' old-fashioned professional values to a thoroughly modern law practice of diverse scope. Whether helping an individual buy a house, start a business, or resolve a dispute, representing an established commercial enterprise, creating a sophisticated tax plan, or guiding the growth of a nascent business endeavor, the firm crafts effective and efficient means of solving the complex problems of its clients' personal and business affairs.
